Privacy Policy

This page explains what World Points collects when you use the site, and why.

What we collect

When you make a payment: the display name and message you choose to enter (both optional and shown publicly), the amount and country you supported, and the payment confirmation from our payment processor, PayPal. We do not receive or store your card number — PayPal handles your payment details directly. For basic abuse prevention (stopping automated/fraudulent checkout attempts) we also store a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address, never the address itself, tied to nothing else about you.

What we don't collect

No accounts, no passwords, no tracking profile. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by PayPal, our payment processor. PayPal collects what it needs to process your payment (which may include your email and billing details) under its own privacy policy.

Public content

Any username and message you submit is displayed publicly on the site indefinitely, next to the country you supported. Don't include personal information you don't want public. We can remove a message — see our moderation policy — but the points it earned stay counted.

Site activity counters

We show a live "people online now" count and running totals for site visits and countries explored. These come from a random, temporary session id generated in your browser — never an account, a cookie that outlives the tab, or anything tied to your identity — and the underlying counters expire automatically.
